GOURD WORKSHOP

This workshop will expand the possibilities of the gourd as a starting point in creating both a beautiful and practical object. With so many interesting shapes to choose from, one of the hardest tasks will be just selecting one for this day. Materials such as fur, collage, paint or beads can be used to decorate either the inside or outside of the gourd. The addition of woven or stitched rim treatment can either complete the gourd or be the start of an enlarged basket.
