Cane experimentation - A two day workshop with Wendy Golden
Tutor: Wendy Golden
When: Saturday, Sunday May 27 & 28
Using pith cane learn how to construct interesting shapes and experiment with some of the many variations of simple twined weave.
Beginning with a woven base you will learn how to design a small vessel into which you can incorporate different weaves and finishes. Depending on the complexity of your design you might complete several samples which you will be able to keep for further reference.
Cane is an ideal material to hone your skills. These skills and techniques can then be used with other materials and designs in your woven projects.
